Green

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days or She’s The Man
What is your favorite TV show?

Currently no pets, but I would love to get a Corgi or a cat sometime soon.
What is your favorite place that you've traveled to?
Maui, Hawaii
What is your favorite food?
Spaghetti
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why?
Taylor Swift - to just be around her and interact with her would be amazing.
What made you want to start singing?
I started singing so young, around 2-years-old, I think it was something I was drawn to naturally and I was always mesmerized by the people I saw on stage and I wanted to be like them.
What is the most difficult thing about being a musician?
I think really finding your own thing and being confident in it while also just having enough belief in yourself to keep showing up even when there are so many other artists and so many other songs being released. It is easy to feel overlooked and irrelevant in today's music industry so if you can find that inner confidence to just be authentically you it does help a lot because that aspect of being in music is tough.
Where do you find inspiration for your music?
I definitely think my life events inspired me but I do find that art inspires more art. So if I am consuming a lot of creative works I find that I want to create more myself.
What do you hope people take away from your music?
I hope people can hear my music and be like “that really made me feel something” in whatever way possible. I want every song I have to hit an emotion and for people to feel that and connect with the song in that way.
You have a new project, “When You Did,” tell us about this project?
This is probably my favorite song to date. I wrote this with some of my best friends Laurel Sabadosh and Tyler Downs. “When You Did” came from the moment I realized the person I loved was falling out of love with me, yet still kept me in their orbit. It’s for anyone who’s ever held on, even as the relationship slipped away, hoping that things could still work out.
In one word, how would you describe your sound?
If I had to pick one word I would say my music is “Anthemic”. It is definitely meant to be screamed out loud.
In addition to music, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important?
I am passionate about empowering women and helping them find resources to better their lives, whether that is getting out abusive relationships and bad situations or just trying to find their way.
Who is your favorite musician and why?
Taylor Swift - I have followed her for years since the beginning of her career. I think she has not only set an incredible example as a songwriter but also as an artist and entertainer. She is so fan focused and that is also something I think has made her who she is today. I want to follow her example in that way as well.
How would you describe your fashion style?
Casual-Cool
What advice would you give other kids that want to break into music?
If this is really what you want to do then just start and just do it. Do things imperfectly, put out music and learn along the way, work with people that make you feel good about yourself, don’t sell yourself short and don’t let other people tell you who you are.
Who would be your dream collaboration and why?
Shania Twain would be a really cool collab for me because so much of what I want to do artistically is inspired by her so that would be a really full circle collaboration.
What is one thing that nobody knows about you?
I listen to countless hours of Mr. Ballen on YouTube. If you know you know!!
What can we expect to see from you in the future?
I have another single dropping at the end of September and then a follow up single with my full EP coming out at the end of October!
If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell her?
Everything I am doing right now is to make my future self proud and to make my younger self proud so I would probably just say that “I am doing this all for you and I can't wait to see where this goes!”
