What are five things that you can't live without?
Jesus, wife, son, guitar, and old cars.
What's your life's motto or advice that you live by?
If you find something you love doing, you’ll never work a day in your life.
What's your favorite color?
Orange
What is your favorite movie?
Any of the Marvel movies but probably Iron Man.
What is your favorite TV show?
Dukes of Hazzard.
Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name?
I’ve got a dog named Hank and 3 cats named Dom, Mia, and Letty.
What is your favorite place that you've traveled to?
Montana was pretty awesome, Lake Tahoe as well.
What is your favorite food?
Chicken and dumplings
If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why?
John Daly, I feel like it would be an all out good time and listen to some of the stories he’s got.
What made you want to start singing?
Really it was to start writing and playing original music. That’s what made me focus on learning to sing.
What is the most difficult thing about being a musician?
The weight of “the grind” has its moments of greatness but lows too.
Where do you find inspiration for your music?
Really in anything, mostly as being a fly on the wall in some honkytonk I will play. But also in my self and writing about my life and what I’ve gone through or seen.
What do you hope people take away from your music?
Really, I just hope I portray a side of life that’s real, things I’ve seen and lyrically tell a good story.
In one word, how would you describe your sound?
Classic country with a personal modern touch.
In addition to music, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important?
I work with restoring and collecting classic cars. I’m a very big “nerd” if you will, when it comes to 60’s/70’s Dodge and Plymouths. There isn’t a lot of young folks into the scene and soaking up the knowledge and history behind the cars. Once the older generation passes away, that knowledge is going with them. So I try to be a sponge and learn as much as possible.
Who is your favorite musician and why?
Ronnie Van Zandt of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Lyrically he just told it how it was and wrote what he knew and people loved them for that.
How would you describe your fashion style?
I'm very much an old soul, I buy a lot of vintage wear. Old denim or flannels, blue jeans and boots is where it’s at. I can’t remember the last time a bought a new shirt.
Who are some of your favorite musicians that you have worked with?
My band I love playing with them boys, we always have a great time
What advice would you give other kids that want to break into music?
Don’t chase trends, find who you are and be that.
Who would be your dream collaboration and why?
Something with Sturgill Simpson or Brent Cobb would be awesome. I feel like our head spaces are around the some place and could do something cool.
What is one thing that nobody knows about you?
I can’t read music at all.
What can we expect to see from you in the future?
More music coming soon, and hopefully an album next year.
If you could talk to your future self, what would you tell him?
I’d probably ask him how things are going and find out if we’re still up to the same old things.
Is there anything else that you would you like to share with our audience?
Yes, if anyone wants to come out to a show or follow what I’m up to, give me a follow on all socials! Also, you can stream my music where ever you listen from!
