Inside Orange County’s Oscars Night: A Red Carpet Evening of Glamour, Purpose, and Rising Voices

Orange County’s most prominent Oscars viewing celebration unfolded with precision, scale, and a clear sense of purpose at the eZWay Awards Golden Gala.

 

From the moment guests arrived, the tone was set. A red and gold carpet welcomed a steady flow of talent, media, and industry figures. Cameras lined the entrance. Interviews moved quickly. Inside, the space transitioned into a full viewing experience, blending live Oscar coverage with an awards program that gave the night its own identity.

Among those covering the evening were Action Magazine’s teen on the scene reporters, Olive and Paige Herman. The Herman Twins moved seamlessly between the red carpet and event floor, conducting interviews and capturing real-time reactions, bringing a sharp, next generation perspective to a space long led by traditional media.

A defining moment of the night came with the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Kate Linder. Best known for her enduring role on The Young and the Restless, Linder was recognized not only for her decades long presence in television, but also for her continued philanthropic work. The acknowledgment drew strong response from the audience and marked one of the evening’s most grounded moments.

Beyond entertainment, the event carried civic and international elements. Congressman Lou Correa’s office supported the eZWay Awards with official certificates, while the Universal Peace Federation hosted a Peace Ambassador Appointment Ceremony aligned with United Nations initiatives. These additions expanded the scope of the evening beyond a traditional Oscars gathering.
